Highgate Campus
Kids Summer Camp: The Way It Should Be! in our SAUTE' KITCHEN & our all new Baking & Pastry Arts Bake shop

The Kid's Culinary Camp is settled in Northern Vermont Farmland. The Camp farmhouse was originally built in 1811. In 2006, Chef Kelly commissioned a major remodeling program and built a large commercial kitchen ideal for teaching Culinary Arts at the Highgate, Vermont campus. From there the Camp expanded considerably over each year adding facilities and new curriculum. In 2010 we kicked off our all New State of the Art Bake shop and Pastry Arts program.

In 2012 and 2013 plans to build a new media center for students, Maple Sugar House, Outdoor Cooking Pavilion,
Student operated Fruit and Vegetable Stand, Airplane Hanger and Trout Pond

The facilities include:

  • A full commercial kitchen with a new Oriental wok station, Pizza Oven and Prep
  • Sauté’ stations
  • Baking & Pastry Arts Bake shop
  • Male and female dormitory rooms on separate floors
  • An integrated greenhouse and aquaponics facility
  • A large square foot garden and teaching open area
  • A berry and culinary herb garden
  • A shitake mushroom growing facility
  • Beekeeping teaching area
  • A composting plot
  • And much more ...

The Dormitories:

We are located off Route I-89. Take Route I-89 north to exit 20. After exiting turn right on route 207 and go approximately 7 miles to route 78. Turn right on route 207 and 78. Go 2 tenths of a mile and turn left on to Route 207 north. This is Gore Road. We are located just under 5 miles on the right hand side. It is a beige house with a blue roof and 3 silos in the back. If you reach the Canadian Morses line road you have gone to far.
